Sourdough Bagels

These sourdough bagels are delicious. My family likes them more than the ones from the store! I wouldn't call them difficult to make, but like all sourdough recipes, they require some advance planning and preparation.

These are perfect for a morning meal with cream cheese, a bacon, egg, and cheese combo, or a quick sandwich for lunch. I typically prepare them in time for a breakfast-for-dinner night, and then we enjoy them for breakfasts over the following days.

You can add any of your favorite toppings to these bagels! Our preferred choice is everything bagel seasoning, or simply an egg wash. You might also consider jalapeno and cheddar, cinnamon sugar, poppy seeds, sesame seeds, onion flakes, oats, raisins... really, anything you enjoy!
